The Halloween festival had always been one of his favorite things. As a kid, he enjoyed the little rides, candy and funny costumes. As a teen he liked the dancing and bopping for apples and making out in bales of hay. As an adult he went back to enjoying costumes and setting up stuff for the kids. He was meeting Chloe here after work. They'd coordinated costumes. He was the cop and she'd be the prisoner. For sex appeal, he'd undone a few buttons on his shirt. He had no idea what kind of jail bird costume she'd decided on, and was looking forward to it. Hopefully she'd taken advantage of the slut allowances. It was highly comical given her brother had been in jail.
He stood leaning on a bale of hay next to a corn maze, chewing on a toothpick considering it was dangerous to smoke so close to all this plant life. Sam would hate to set the place ablaze.
Sam bopped lightly to the music that was playing and smiled as he watched a little tribe of kids run by. A mummy, a fireman and a princess.... it sounded like the start of a joke.

As someone who generally enjoyed any excuse to get dressed up and have a good time, Chloe had always enjoyed the Halloween festival. There was always good company, ridiculous entertainment, and plenty of mischief to be made. This year would be different, of course. She'd come to the festival with friends before and even attended it with Sam in the past, but this was the first time she'd actually come to the festival with a date. It made things feel weird. Chloe spent extra time choosing a costume. She and Sam had decided to go as a cop and a prisoner, which may not have been the most thoughtful choice given the fact that her brother had just gotten out of jail. When she and Sam had decided on the pairing, though, she hadn't really thought it through. She only hoped that her brother wouldn't mind too much. She also hoped he wouldn't mind the blatantly sexual spin on her costume, which featured a tight, short dress with a zipper that ran the entire length. When it was unzipped, it split the costume cleanly in half and would reveal her undergarments, which had been just as carefully chosen; she had a feeling that zipper would provide too good of an opportunity for Sam to pass up.
The heels of her boots dug into the dirt as she made her way toward the corn maze in search of Sam. When she spied him, a smirk tugged at her lips. Even from this distance, she could tell that he looked good, and it briefly crossed her mind to suggest that they skip the festival altogether and get right to the trouble making. The closer she got to him, though, the more her nerves took hold. She was still more anxious than she really had reason to be about their relationship. Truthfully, she was probably overthinking things. But some small part of her kept reminding her that if this relationship went sour, she'd likely lose her best friend.
Shaking off the unwelcome thought, Chloe raked a hand through her hair, which she was wearing in loose waves. She pasted on what she hoped was a sexy smile and crossed the last few feet to come up behind Sam. "Damn. You look good," she murmured as she reached his side.

Sam heard something behind him and the voice was unmistakable and as he turned, he was momentarily speechless. Chloe looked amazing. Her boots accentuated her legs to a ridiculous amount, her mini dress had a zipper that Sam had to admit he was dying to unzip, her curls falling around her face... "Damn girl," He said with a flustered chuckle. "You did want to check out the festival right? Because if you did, you picked the wrong outfit..." Sam grinned, but he couldn't totally hold himself back and pulled her closer by her hips and kissed her lips deeply.
"I'd lock you up any day," he joked. Though he realized that could sound creepy, or like he loved bondage--which he didn't, but he couldn't help it and just shook his head a little. How on earth did he manage to land her as a girlfriend? Mason probably had a heart attack.
"So," Sam said, "What do you want to do first?" he asked her, hoping she would say she would do him first. The festival seemed secondary at this point, but he loved the party too, so they could come back. Of course, they could start with any activity she chose, but Sam couldn't help but enjoy the view, a little too much.

A warm blush flooded Chloe's face at his response to her appearance. She'd been hoping he would feel that way, but she was still adjusting to the change in their relationship and, while she was certain she wanted to take things to the next level, she was still feeling a little shy about it. Well, part of her was, anyway. But a much larger part of her, which was fueled by every touch they shared was quickly pushing that shy part to the back of her psyche. As his lips met hers, she matched his passion, quickly becoming eager to leave.
His joke might have been distasteful in any other company, but Chloe could feel his unease immediately afterward, which made her giggle. "You're the only person I'd want locking me up," she replied, ignoring any other implications besides the one she wanted to see, which was that he'd like to keep her. She smiled softly at the realization that she was already adjusting better than she'd thought. In the past, the idea of being kept would directly lead to the idea of being married, which was one she had no intention of entertaining.
Maybe it was the kiss they'd so recently shared that had her feeling bold, but when Sam asked what she wanted to do first, her mouth began to move quite without her permission. "You," she answered simply, surprised to realize how honest the answer was. She opened her mouth quickly to backtrack, intending to suggest that they ride the ferris wheel or head into the corn maze. The words took longer than they should have to come, though, and she stood there for a couple of seconds trying to remember how to speak. Finally, she managed to choke out, "The corn maze would be fun... Since we're right here." Mentally she added that since it was getting dark and the maze wasn't particularly well lit, there would be plenty of dark corners that would be perfectly well suited for making out, even if she hadn't used them for such since she was a teenager.

Sam couldn't believe her ease, given what had happened at his grandmothers, but this was the Chloe he knew as a friend and he had to admit, the prospects of flirting with her were growing even more exciting. At her answer, he let out a little laugh, an unmistakable, yet slight, drop in his voice as want crept up on him. "You're killing me." He breathed, leaning his head on hers. His hands held her waist, his fingers itching to move off the polyester and onto something softer... But she mentioned the corn maze and he had to nod.
"Only because we're right here." he said, trying to keep his voice even as well as keep himself from just pushing her into a hay bail and getting busy. He supposed they could sneak kisses in corners if he really couldn't take it. He couldn't feel emotions, but he knew Chloe was turned on too, they wouldn't last too long.
Sam reluctantly let go of her, keeping one arm low around her hips, keeping her close, his hand shifting ever so slightly to her ass as they walked into the corn maze. Usually these were rather difficult and full of children, but it was a little late for the littlest ones.

As much as she wanted to pretend she wasn't going absolutely insane with want, Sam's words only served to echo her thoughts. Waiting was insane. Trying to convince herself that the festival was a worthwhile enough reason to put her hormones on hold, Chloe turned toward the maze. Her eyes flickered around, taking in the shadowed corners, and she took a few steps forward, fully aware of Sam's arm wrapped around her hips. As they continued walking, his hand slipped lower until his fingers bushed against her bottom. Chloe's heart pounded and she could hear her blood rushing in her ears. Still, she willed herself to keep moving.
By the time they made it to the first turn, it was too much for her. She whirled around to face Sam, her eyes hungrily searching his. "Fuck the maze," she murmured, practically throwing herself at him, her fingers searching desperately for some gap between clothing. On some level, she realized they had to get out of the maze and out of public before things got any more out of hand than they already were. Intertwining her fingers with his, she all but dragged him, completely on auto pilot, toward her car.

Sam grinned as she gave up on the maze and kissed her back, his fingers itching to get at her skin, but he knew if he tried, she'd end up in her underwear in the maze--given the well placed zipper. She started pulling him towards her car and he laughed. How high school. He couldn't stopp grinning, he just wanted to get his hands on her.
At her car, he had to lightly push her against it, his fingers in her hair as he kissed her hand, grinding his hips into hers lightly. "So where are we doing this?" He asked breathlessly, as he pulled away. The hotel was cheap, but doable. They both lived with others who could come home at any moment. "Oh, what if we get a blanket from my place and go out into one of the abandoned fields, that'd be hot and romantic." He said wiggling his eyebrows. He'd had sex in a public bathroom once, a field was much better, even if there was no where to hide really. Kids would be off trick or treating or something, not chilling in the middle of moonlit fields.
Sam let go of her, only so they could get into the car, but he hated it.

She hadn't put a whole lot of thought into where they were going to go. Having lived by herself for the last five years, she'd pretty much forgotten that Mason was living with her again and could come home at any time. Frowning, she mulled over the options in her head. The hotel might work, but she didn't have a credit card with her. She also didn't think she had the mental capacity to deal with the details of booking a room. Breathing heavily, she reached to pull Sam's hips more tightly against her own, driving herself well past the point of reason. "I'm going wherever you are," she finally responded, honestly not caring where they went as long as they could get there quickly.
Reluctantly, they parted long enough to get into the car and Chloe drove as quickly as she could manage toward Sam's place. She parked in front and turned an expectant glance in his direction, assuming he would gather the aforementioned blanket. If they waited much longer, she might lose her nerve.
A couple of minutes later, they'd staked out a spot in the middle of an empty field, far enough from the street that they shouldn't be heard or disturbed. "Finally," Chloe murmured, letting out a sigh and willing herself to stop thinking as she let her hormones take hold of her again.
